Build the compost bin we actually use at Layton Farms. Every photo in these plans is of the real bin, from the workshop build to the finished bin out by the garden. It's a sturdy 3 ft × 3 ft × 3 ft single-bay bin with horizontal cedar (or similar) boards, four vertical corner posts, and ½-inch hardware cloth for airflow. A simple board lid keeps rain and animals out and still lets the pile breathe.
